Those work stands got discountined a while back. If u live in the states go for the axis stand

I made one from a speaker stand. Pretty cheap

Speaker stand $22
Axis top plate $109
Axis swivel $50

I may just buy the Axis plate and swivel instead of building something from the ground up. Kinda like the idea of being able to tilt the stand and have access to the underneath of the car while it is on the stand.

Anyone know the diameter of the swivel adaptor? Just curious as I may go with the music stand idea or build the bottom portion up to the swivel joint.

Thanks John, that helps to know the outer diameter, incase I build the lower half. I may go with the music stand as well...just haven't decided yet.

Yeah, that was my concern with the music stand....I started looking at speaker stands, that have a wider footprint
How does the Swivel joint attach to the stand pole?
Check this out...it is a stand for Mannequin heads that cosmetology students use...but looks like it might work for our application...

Second stand with the wheels is a bad idea lol. 30 pounds or more suspended 3-4 feet is a bad idea with wheels under it.

First link I like alot. Would be curious to see how it works. Swivel just uses a pin to secure it to the stand.

Went ahead and ordered the Vekta plate and Swivel mount from Axis and the Mount It Projector stand. Plan on not installing the wheels...let you know how it goes and will get some picks of the completed stand.
