After putting the Zenoah 31.8 on the Rovan, shes a beast and moves fast. Quicker than the Losi with the 23T pinion. Its so fast however that even 3/8 throttle, the tires spin - even with knobby tires. Its in grass/gravel/dirt but its spins nonetheless. How could I put the traction back on to the rear tires without it spinning. I'm thinking about losing the springs as much as possible (putting the adjustment nut to the top) on all four shocks.

Because of the Rovan engine, I increased the pinion and spur gear set-up to bring the rovan to a higher speed setting, but with the newer engine - it has to much acceleration. I though about changing the gearing but then I'd have to buy new gears so what else could I do to reduce the donuts and get it back to chasing. And yes, i let up on the throttle as i make my turns and when I'm past the point of tangent I accelerate again only to spin in circles.
 
You'll only get so much weight transfer to the rear tires by messing with the springs before is doing an arse drag every time you hit the throttle. If it's doing one leggers and tossing you about, then stiffer diff fluid will help put the power out to both wheels.

Never thought of the diff fluid. I think I might have 3 or 5K in it.
So if I understand this correctly, by using a thicker oil, the rear diff will act more like a posi rear differential can bring rears to 50/50 instead of having a thinner oil which would bring the power to the wheels 70/30, which that 70% wheel is what is causing me to spin out all the time. Right?

What I find amusing is he's complaining about a stock Zen 32 with maybe 3 or 4 hp maybe a little more I don't know. And I have a OBR 34 with 9.4hp and it's out of control all the time and I love it. Then you got the guys with the 40cc and up guys with 5B's that are insane. The stock 36cc that was in my 5B with all of its 2.5hp was still a wheel spinning idiot . :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Like I said before learn how to drive it and enjoy. If you want control you need a 4WHEEL DRIVE. Good luck , have fun and stay healthy.
 
I'm not complaining just asked a question on if what I'm handling is generally expected and if I could find away to stop being a donut factory?
 
You can also adjust your controllers throttle to be more progressive. You can increase or reduce throttle response curve to your liking so it slows down throttle travel in relation to throttle position. That with the other advice can probably get you there,it's a matter of trial and error to find what suits you.
