First, knock on wood.

OK. Now that that's out of the way:clown: , lets start a thread on what we have broken on these "Big Kahunas". Maybe this will help us out on what to have in out tool boxes.

So far the motor is not even leaned out and I endoed the truck and broke a rear body mount (the body was off at the time). Then the other day I was driving it around and noticed the back of the truck was slouching. Broken shock shaft at the threads. I don't know what happened there.

Not broken but the set screws on the hex that holds the final gear backed out and I had a heck of a time figuring out what was up. I wish they sold these in kit form with instructions and an exploded diagram.

This all being said, I am in NO WAY upset with this awesome machine. I just think we can all find out where some of the minor weak points may be by sharing this info.:) --nate

BTW, Scott from LargeScaleRC sent out a shock shaft priority mail and I should have it by the time I get home from work tonight. Those guys are great!--nate again

the guy that painted mine is a offshore racing boat painter .. http://www.coolgrafix.net/ my son and me went to go see him and he had a 1.5 million dollar set-up .. a 42 Cat with 3200 HP matching trailer and matching rig all being painted .. friggin amazing to see in full scale and not on T.V , next to the 42 was a 32 scarab and its huge aswell but looked tiny next to the cat .. the 42 Cat when its trailered down the road it has Hydro Rams that tilt the boat on its side ..because it would be too wide too trailer ..
sorry off topic ..

Well, now that it runs good, I have blown out two gears because a small rock imbedded itself into one of them. The final gear on the brakes and the one that it connects to(I don't know the name of these gears) were both melted. On inspection the rock was still in the gear. I have already replaced them.--nate
