I was wondering about a jet pipe for the firehammer..I have currently a DDM
Toqure Pipe that came with the truck when purchased..Problem being is
the back of the truck the pipe rubs on the roll cage support or I should say cuts in..the rear post is cut almost in half..Is the any thing that will wrap up
behind the engine over the carb? Or do I need some thing like baja ..goes
way behind...I need some suggestions here please...Yeah my firehammer
is one money pit now..Thanks AKA Slawhammer:2guns::2guns:

boy, im not familiar with the FH setups. i know in bajastafarianville, the JPs are doggy down low and give a pretty good top rpms. but as far as fitment, im lost.

Can you get a picture of the way the pipe hits?
For the rear get a wheelie bar cause you should be popping up the rear anyway. I use the mid/high and the pipe is slightly smaller and does not exit the same in the rear. you may want to switch to the mid high and get a wheelie bar?

I honestly believe that any pipe you put on after the ddm torque pipe, you will find disappointing. I've tried a few different pipes, but not any jetpros, however, I hear people complain about the low end on the jetpros.

You already have the best off road pipe for FG cars, barring the RN products, which are impssoble to get hold of and cost an arm and a leg. I ordered an RN Fat Power Monster pipe for about $450, waited 4 months for it, then cancelled the order. It's not worth doing an upgrade on that pipe, unless you are going to something like that.

Spend the money elsewhere Rog.

Foxy42: Nice pictures of you rc units..
and foxy note taken on put money else where on my unit..
I will try some how to get a spacer to shove the pipe outfrom the support post if I can
Thanks for your replys..AKA Slawhammer

Yeh, a few large washers on the bolt where it attaches to the clutch bell carrier will help, but may not completely solve the problem. The other thing you can do is find a metal tube to put around the support. Archery arrow making tubing would be a good bet. You can simply cut a section out where the screws go through.

so to keep rocks out of the air intakes...Thanks again..AkaSlawhammer:cool2:

Try the X-port spacer for the header.
You can find them at DDM
It will put the pipe a little farther out and mabey reduce the cut that you have.

Ok I will look in to that idea. of x port spacer..
If you put the spacer there which also helps heat transfer for cooling..
would that not push the front of the exhaust pipe forward more..
in turn also bring the back of the pipe closer to the support roll cage brace?
I aslo thought of grinding or filing the ridge or seam..but that might cause a weak spot to split open...Maybe a jet pipe...I asked Brad at dave's discount
and was recomended the dominator pipe..I think that's what I have now..
I really can not tell difference for the two ..torque pipe or dom pipe..
Thanks for your suggestion...AKA Slawhammer:2guns::2guns:

Roger, you are correct, the x-port will increase the problem, due to the FG style forward facing exhaust port. DDM makes two FG dominator pipes, the 'High Performance' pipe, and the 'torque' pipe. You have the torque pipe (as do I), and as we said, it's the best without spending silly money on a racing pipe.

I think you should ask DDM about filing the seam, it might be a good idea, it might not.

Try using some high temp silicone tubing and wrap the plastic.

The mid high pipe is an awesome pipe. You can see the review on here. It exits more out the rear instead of to the side.

You may find someone to trade you a pipe for a pipe?
Good luck.
