My life outside of rc. Been on the road for the past 7 years. Have worked in most of the southeastern US from the southern tip of Florida to the middle of the desert in west Texas. I’ve run most types of heavy equipment, installed more miles of natural gas pipeline than I can remember, built tank batteries and hauled materials. I work more hours in week than most people work in two. I don’t always enjoy it but it’s a hell of a job and you get to see a lot of things that most people never will.

And you left this company why? Clearly they had a brilliant view of how life should be lived, with a smile.????
Got bought out and new owners changed the name lol
Road life sucks when you have little ones....
There's a few guys who bring their whole families along. The wives stay at home with the kids and do homeschooling, the ones who go to regular school usually ring the kids every few weeks and on breaks. Pretty much none of the wives work lol

I had a chance to do pipeline work for 100k a year starting and I didn't do it cause of my kiddos. It's good money but definitely not the life for everyone
Was gonna do private contracting in Iraq after my deployment, but didn't for the same reason. I regret not doing it though. Could've made some serious cheddar only working 6 months of the year. ?

I understand man. I coulda shifted some things around and family could have came with but it would have been hell with my ex wife and her health issues.
Now I have 5 kids and sure as hell couldn't do it ?

And after seeing buried, with Ryan Reynolds. I'm forever good on working over there. fiddlestick the middle east, I want no part in destroying or rebuilding any of it. ?

It wasnt such a problem for me till I had my daughter. Gone for weeks, month or so. Get home get called out for a downed generator. Have to jump in the truck and leave. Wife almost left. Daughter didnt want anything to do with me. I took the hint. We miss the money but were much happier.

Don't blame you at all brother, money doesn't mean much if the rest of your life falls apart in the pursuit of it.
