Disappointing service from Rovan!

Unfortunately I think it was a mistake buying from Rovan (Dan). I paid for 1 day shipping on 12/31/2020 but never ever got the service. Tracking shows UPS ground delivery for next Monday 1/11/21.

We emailed tons going back and forth before the purchase but once the purchase was done he never answered my emails and completely cut me off. doesn't answer phone calls or returns voice mails. I emailed him many times about the shipping but got nothing back from him.

I went ahead and emailed him with my other account under a different name inquiring about the xlt450 and he answered right away so that clearly shows he is ignoring me.

Is truly a shame how someone can ruin their reputation over something small. It Clearly shows the customers service this company will provide to whoever buys the Rovan product.
 
Absolutely not. I used same email when I had questions before buying. We went back and forth about 20 times and I soon as I asked about the shipping he completely cut me off.
 
I am just glad the truck is based on a 5t platform so if I need parts I can always order from ddm.
 
That really sucks man. How much extra did they charge you? You could always dispute with your credit card company. They will get you some cash back that I'm sure of.

You should reply back to one of your inquires and put him on the spot.
 
you know that 12-31 is New Years eve right ??? before a weekend ? anyhow you definitely should be reimbursed for screwed up shipping costs, BTW I have never had any issues with them. Sorry you did , might have been out of town and fekked up the shipping ?????

I completely understand that 12/31 is new years eve that doesn't have to do with anything at all. This is about how he doesn't answer my emails because of the screw up but he answers my other email under another name inquiring about buying a new truck. He can easily email me back and say it was a screw up and here is your refund/store credit or whatever but he decided to ignore it because he already made his sale.
 
Lil off topic but trying to gain understanding. Who owns Rovan? Is it its own company, is it in conjunction with another company? Whenever I get stuff from Primal, there is always fliers for Rovan stuff with it so made me wonder. I looked up their address and it appears to be the same for Primal and Rovan?

it does if like 90% of companies they were closed for 4 days , as far as not answering that is another thing , anyhow I hope you get it sorted out , maybe we should let him know about this issue on this forum ? or would I get banned for that LOL ??

rovan , king motor and primal rc are owned by the same dude

Knowing that you were going to place an order on New Years Eve day , did you proactively communicate with Rovan asking the important question "Could" your purchased item in fact be able to be shipped out ? Not only did you place your order the day before a holiday, you placed an order for a large item prior to a holiday that falls on a Friday. If Rovan had a reasonable time to prepare and ship your item and did not, than i feel your owed your additional overnight shipping charge, if you did not have prior communications then shame on you for assuming your package would go out the same day as ordered. We had an LSF member that started blasting Rovan for bad CS, about a year ago and once facts from BOTH parties surfaced i quickly came to the conclusion the mouthy buyer was WAY too impatient and was a real tool. Im NOT saying this is the case here, but theres alway 2 sides to the situation, and im staying neutral.
 
someone of you folks are little confused. It doesn't matter if I placed the order at midnight 2021 or any other time. That is not the problem here! like I mentioned above we went back and forth many many many many times through email and he did mentioned to me that he was going to ship first thing on Monday and I will be receiving my package on Tuesday ( the next day) and i was totally fine with that. Guess what, Monday came and he did ship the package but with regular ground shipping even though I purchased the one day shipping. So when I saw the tracking and the service that was submitted to ups ( ground) I contacted him through email (3 times) and called him ( 2 times) leaving voice mail but never got a single response at all. Everything is in black and white in my email no need to make up lies.



Here where the problem is and I am concerned of:

Why does he ignore my emails, calls and voice mails but he QUICKLY replies when I send an email about purchasing a new truck by using another email account and some other name?


I can careless about the cost of shipping I can get that reimburse from PayPal. The thing that bothers me is spending $1400 and I wanted to receive my package as quick as possible by purchasing the fastest shipping but that didn't happen and after I got ghosted for no reason.

We all make mistakes and that's fine but man up to it and email your customer that just spent tons of money buying your product and supporting you instead he chose to ignore me. I guess business is good these days.


what's done is done. Ill wait for the truck for another week.

Little update,

He contacted me exactly at noon and he explained that it was a mixed up on the shipping price and it would of been a lot more than what the website said and I paid for so that is why they shipped regular ground. but it would of been nice if he contacted me in the first place and just telling me the truth. I would of covered and paid the extra shipping.

I am glad he emailed me and made it right. If you are seeing this post Dan thank you and i hope we will do business in the future.

One day shipping us never truly one day however in this case you are right. The incorrect shipping method is used. There is no excuse for that.
with DDM is always one day. Just saying.
