paint how to....

Anyone have some advice or step by step pics or finished product of a rattle can paint job on there beetle? Gonna grab a clear shell from daves and paint myself,i have painted bikes(motorcycles) cars and a bunch of other stuff but never nothing small as a rc body. Paint brand suggestion,and any tips would be appreciated folks

Thanks! I can say I've put it on too thick and man does it crack!
Also never cover a light cover with black it will bleed and make a new color.
