running FLM 4ever shafts dry?

so as I'm sure you all know, you cant get the 5sc axle boots anywhere. I just ordered some FLM 4ever shafts and cups for my 5B, ( and after reading some threads on here am starting to regret it LOL). I emailed DDM and they said to just run them dry. Does anyone have experience with doing this?

I couldn't find any that were 25mm, just the stock 5B which is 22mm. (some of them don't say tho). I emailed rovan and they weren't very helpful

I've got FLM gear on mine and I can tell you, you should not run them dry. I did and regret it as well. I have recently bought new pins and boots. The pics are after maybe, 3-4 weekends at track.

Exactly how my vekta pins look already on my center drive shaft the 4 drive axle pins are mint though☹

Oh and I bought the orange boots off ebay or amazon. They fit well just a pia to get over pins. If you put them on pin-less it would be much easier.

could you send a link? I still haven't found any that confirm they work with 25mm cups

Listing doesn't mention size but I have them on my SD shafts and cups. At $6 worth a try

thanks! if they fit on the SD axles they should fit on the 4ever as well

what do yall do for the axle pins? blue or red Loctite?

Doesn't stick well when spun. I been playing with wd40 drylube for pull starters. Doesn't stick and cloggs with dirt the same as without

hmm, that's a disappointment

I ordered those orange ones, if they fit I'll prolly just order a few more packs ( I can't imagine they will last too long LOL )

I was gonna say a chain wax, but tbh I use a dry teflon lube on exposed gears and whatnot, drive line stuff gets booted if at all possible.

The hostile boots will fit. I had to trim a little off the top but otherwise they fit well. Def no getting them on with pins in tho.
