Hi,

Why do MCD have two models - one with 510 and another with 535 mm wheelbase ??
What is the difference between them, only the length of the chassi plate ??

The 510mm car would be more fast in it's reaction and most suited for tricky tracks with
a lot of (sharp) bends...or ?? What do you guys have or recommend ??

yes, they are both the same
only diffrenss is the length of the the chassie plate, axel and rollcage

not sure what the racers choice are, but overall they are the same

Some people also think the reason is to have better proportions for some of the car bodies - for e.g. the Mitsubishi. I't sure beats me....

the chassis plates are identical. the mounting location for the rear differential and the rear driveshaft length are different.

the difference of the 25mm or 0.98in may be solely for the reason to accommodate different bodies, but a shorter wheelbase is more nimble but at the cost of stability . a longer wheelbase is more stable at speed, but is a little slower to turn into corners.

you will have to figure out which length you like, and which will suit you driving style.

hope that helps,

I want both:laugh:
Ok - i understand. The thing is that I like the Mitsubishi body, but might only get hold of a 510 mm chassi since I'm looking for a used MCD Rally (you're not able to choose that much when you buy used stuff).
