it appears that you have steering, but no throattle. what throatle servo?

my radio is the 3pm. i swapt out the stock servos for my scanner-rc servos. never heard? i know.. they are water proof. but i think it just had too much. i was on my third straight tank in the snow. not really sure what happened to the servo. but it don't work.. ive run these servos for a while now with no issues. except this one..lol. im gona plastic dip the next one. i only have 12 more servos left!!(8-1/4scale and 4-8th scale:helpsmilie:) sponsorship gift..
here is a link timmah. its really hard to promote these at the track since you cant hardly get them..

oh so what do you think of the rampage then

tough luck krypton.

that happened to me one day ages ago on the beach with my beetle.

was doing full speed runs, car went out of control straight through a CROWD OF PEOPLE!! went running for around two miles and finally ended up down the road upside down in some fellas lawn going W.O.T scalded my hand trying to get at the kill switch :mad::lol:to stop it,REMARKABLY no damage at all to anything, just scuffs...lol

WOW,

That is scary and funny all in one. I love the ending.

I also had an issue with a steering servo going bad. It scared the crap out of me. I did what you did, chase it and not realize I could just steer it to me.

That was quite funny when you could just see the buggy in the shot with you running after it! :D A lucky escape dude and good job it wasn't at full throttle!

ya i never heard of them. they resemble (case anways) the hitec cases. torques arent bad. I would put a new one in and give it a good work out by putting forces against it and checking it for early failure. maybe its getting to hot and burning up. how are your t/b EPAs setup? its possible your straining the servo by bad EPA settings.

ya thats what im thinking. it stinks like it was on fire.. and it wasnt wet at all. my stearing servo was packed with ice, but the throttle sits really high. i did carefully set my epa, but i couldnt recheck it. i had to reset it when i put the "new" servo in. i want to think i just messed up my epa. i threw in another and ran 2 more tanks. im putting in my pico tomorrow

Good thing you were able to stop it. If that had a 2 speed or high gearing and you have no steering it would have been much worse. Lucky it came out as well as it did.

We had a few runaways at Dunetoberfest this year. The ones where you can't catch them on a quad, since the dunes go up and down and you can't see them. You have to drive past people and they point "that way".
