Anybody out there hear or have this problem? Taylor 55 in a Kraken Vekta5.
Samba pipe. Throttle servo sits about 1” at closest point below pipe. I have cooked a servo every very short outing. I wraped pipe with header insulation and fabricated a heat shield that mounts to servo an clears the control. No run lasting more than 10 minutes.
Kraken servos and a couple other brands all the same ending. Servo buggs out and goes way past end points and snaps ball connecter on throttle linkage.
Having all the same issues on a Vekta5 with a 71cc taylor I built for a friend. WTF!

Yes reef and XT
I ordered 2 HiTec D845’s last night
I use them on steering

Vibration was the killer of the XT servos. Part broke loose inside. Kraken servos just melted and lockup

You may need to make a Kevlar or carbon heat shield instead of the metal one. I wonder if the heat from the exhaust getting blown onto the servo while your moving contributes to it also.

Are those HITec servos lasting for you? Plus i see thats a zenoah which i run in my 30DN and servo is almost in same position but doesn't cook. That talylor turns that pipe cherry red.

Have you considered wrapping the whole pipe? I also sealed mine with a ceramic header wrap spray.

Thats next but it really only comes close to that servo not much else that it can affect.

Just throwing this out there. While doing wiring on my motorcycles I used one of those silicone baking sheets that are good to 450deg. Not a single burn from the soldering gun or from the heat gun doing shrink wrap. In delicate areas i used HVAC tape to deflect the heat and always ran a welders blanket under the gas tank.

I'd put some on your DIY mount that looks like it works to me. On my crawlers i would let the smoke out on servos ever 20sec. I went from a 10A Castle BEC to a 20A and no more problems and much much cooler running servo.
