I am about 80% done with the electric conversion according to my plan.
Now, I only need to fabricate the mounts for the steering servo and throttle servo.
Although a throttle servo isn't necessary for an electric setup, I will be using a physical brake to reduce the load on the electronic components.
This will enhance stability. While the parts are currently 3D-printed, I plan to reinforce them through machining later on. These parts are for shape verification.
Thank you :)

Nice
I'm converting over a 30 degree north to electric
Found these straps for the batteries ,much better hold than velcro .
What motor holder are you using ? My stupidrc one , the back support of motor
hits the driveshaft so looking for something to hold up the rear end of can .

Thank you for recommending the product. I plan to use Velcro instead. I'm working within a limited budget 🤣
As for the motor holder, I used one that I made myself.
You can check it out in my previous post.

I recommend both Velcro on the bottom of the with straps. Especially if you plan on jumping

With the velcro no matter how tight there is always a little bit of wiggle
on the battery , with the rubber straps it holds em immobile as the friction of
the rubber is way greater than the sliding you get from the velcro
If the strap location was more centered I could get away with only
one of the rubber straps

Thank you for the recommendation. I'm also looking into the different types of Velcro.

Thank you for your input. I'm currently looking into finding the right type of Velcro.
I wasn't aware that there were options with rubber straps.
I'm not sure what kind of negative impact a loose battery might have, but I'm trying to minimize any potential issues.
What I mean is that I'll consider using rubber straps😀

I used the Max 4 set up in a Rovan LT45 which is now a Rovan 560kv. I used the Stupid RC mounts Like StrykerAKAmack did. I to am having the problem of the rear motor mount hitting the drive shaft if I go smaller than a 21t pinion gear. If the rear mount did not have the wire slots it could be flipped around for smaller pinions. I contacted Stupid RC about a different design for the rear mount but have not heard back from them.

This thing is a beast with 12s power to the 560kv motor. Total beast. I have not bashed it yet only done some testing out in the street and it is crazy powerful with the Max 4 set up. Keeping tires from coming apart will be hard I think.

Is 21T the minimum size pinion that can be installed?
Oh... I designed my mount to accommodate a maximum of 14T.
However, a smaller pinion (lower T) would be more suitable for on-road use.
I believe that for the MAX4 Combo (560KV), a 20T pinion would be ideal. :)

What’s your experience? Have you found the right pinion size?

I'm still on the 21 tooth because I have not had a lot time to mess with it lately.

Works great and last since it’s also made with Kevlar.

Thank you for the product recommendation. I’d like to buy it, but the shipping cost is holding me back, haha.
If a good opportunity comes up later, I’ll give it a try then.:D:D

What brand pinion on the motor did you use ? The castle mod 1 that I have has too fine a mesh to use
The pinion was given to me by another member, so I’m not sure which brand it is.
I’ll ask and get back to you once I hear from them.

I’ve got a max5 G2 plus esc in my 30DNT. Thinking about putting a max4 combo in my DBXL-E 2.0.
That’s a very aggressive setup. I’m not sure the DBXL-E 2.0 can handle a MAX4 reliably. One of our club members runs that combo, and it seems like it puts a lot of stress on the car. :D
