They have also discontinued the RTX and they have the raze ST down to 199.99. They seem to be getting out of the RC business. Maybe the hard economic times has now hit tower hobbies.

Not Tower, duratrax. Tower will still have other brands to sell.

But Tower has so many other things going for them. I just can't see tower dying just because duratrax does.

I don't think they are dying or Duratrax is dying. They've been around since the 1971. Duratrax has a history of changing models every couple years. Don't let it worry you. The economy sucks, but it isn't a depression.

The one thing I like about duratrax is there prices are low for the replacement parts. Even the hobby shop that I go to says that the duratrax parts are alot cheaper in price then some of the other vendors. I do have a good stock of parts for my firehammer MT but if I have to FG parts or another vendor I will do that.

It's just a shame that companies are making a killing selling these things and we're the ones paying for it! I mean 140 bucks for a pair of tires and wheels for my truck!! Damn, I used to sell tires for real cars, so I know how much markup there is on those. You can't tell me, there is that much engineering going into a "Toy Truck" tire.

I Know, I just quickly grab a bag of 5mm (not giving name, H**) lock nuts from LHS. Not checking the price, I paid $4 for it. You can get a box of 100 for under $10 Stainless. There are no engineering in that.
