What's up guys. I have modded my MT to single servo steering awhile back. Initially I used the Spektrum s9020 at 7.4v. After stripping the top gearset three times, I finally got annoyed enough to try something new to me in this MT. I have tried probably four different combinations now. So I have the Hitec d845wp in there now still using 7.4v. Guess I will find out if it is my solution. I have that d845wp in my Dunerunner for over a year now still works great. Any input on what you guys use appreciated! Well I stripped the Hitec d845 now too. Maybe it's me. I have horrible luck with servos. I now have a Hillantronics Hercules servo in there. I also loosened the servo saver up a little bit in Hope's to not strip gears again. Here is a picture of it installed.20190419_190927.webp20190419_190912.webp
 
Im running dual d845 hitec and still having issues of it triggering the kill switch when held with steering to the left or right.

Amp draw is the issue. And possibly the two servos fighting each other like we talked about before. Run straight power and ground to the servos and be done. I use dual d845 in my mtxl directly to the lipo without issues.
 
Hate to sound goofy but how do i run it directly? Another switch with leads not going through the receiver?

Most RX lipos have two power and ground leads. Use one

Take the power and ground wires out of the connectors of both servos and put them in two jr connectors, then use a Y connector wire to plug the servo into to the lipo. Then keep the signal wires in the original servo connectors, using another Y connector plug the single end into the receiver.

Do you know how to setup a dual servo (LiPo 2S) system for the rampage?? Im currently running a HiTec D845WP single servo setup and its lasted a while now but I would like a stronger balanced setup for wjhen im bashing hard. Too bad i cant say the same for that spektrum S9020 I had in there. So Im thinking about going to a DUAL servo setup by adding another HiTec D845WP. Dpo you think there will be any problems with that setup??

I think impalassman has tried this and is running into issues. Any help would be appreciated.

I think if you run power and ground to the servos straight from the lipo you will be good. Then only send the signal wires to the receiver. Otherwise if you run the two servos off a Y connector to the receiver you will notice severe voltage drop. The RX can't supply enough amps that those high voltage servos need.
 
Hey guys , Howz It goin? I'm new to the redcat rampage mt and I've got a couple questions , i bought two servos that say 60kg on the side also 8.4 volt what do i need to upgrade to make them work in my truck , can i just buy a 7.4 lipo and put it in or do i have to buy more electronics to go with the battery and the servos ? i had the first two servos go bad and so redcat replaced them and as they were coming in mail i bought these others but going from 6 to 8.4 is a pretty big jump or at least it sounds like it is . really appreciate all or any help to this issue , really like to only run one servo and this is why i bought this 60kg but i did buy two just in case thanks guys

In order to use a lipo receiver battery. You need to get a radio system that can handle the extra power. Most are 6v max. Also will need a lipo capable throttle servo.
