Is anyone running the speed gearing? If so, how was install and how does it run?

Recently took advantage of the 40% off sale and grabbed the 51/25 gearing. Apparently it should bolt right in!

Who is running them and how does it run? I’ll be installing these around Christmas since they’re a gift from my wife. 🤣

That is a pretty Tall gear so i am waiting to read some feedback

I ended up sending them back for a refund. I was uneasy about the stress being transferred back into the gearbox as opposed to the slipper. I thought I’d blow the trans up sooner rather than later.

Since I like when my rigs come home unbroken, I decided against the direct drive gears.

If someone out there has them and is running them please let me know! Maybe I can be swayed back.
 
I run the 51x25 direct drive gears i uped the internal gears to harden in the diff case to help with the power band if faster is what you want its much faster yes

Curious to know your motor setup and tires you are running. I input that data into my gear ratio spreadsheet for reference. How are your motor temps with the new gearing?
 
hi im rining max 5 with 650kv motor was running stock wheels but moved up to duratrax six pack x it wheelies like crazy with the duel motor fans running over the motor i never got over 135 degree but that can change in grass i run mine on asphalt
