I asked the below on the Kraken FB page but no response

Nice but have two questions. 1. is the interior dimensions the same as stock? 2. How does that top cover part where the slide switch is (Who uses those anymore) seal to the other cover? (See Orange Circles) KrakenHDBilletUltimateReceiverBox_SteeringMounts_KV6610.webpCurious on how dust/waterproof it is.

yes the box is bigger than the stock plastic one fella (y),
no idea how tight the seal is but i'd assume its pretty tight alloy to alloy,
link below to taylor site, scroll down for the description (y),
quite a few people still use the standard style switch as well, i use em on most of my rc's cos they're reliable for the most part
but i'd say theres room to just stick an electronic or magnetic switch over the hole thats there,

I got mine in the mail... the first thing to note is... the bottom screw holes on mine were not threaded properly. The thread only goes 8.5mm into the box. Therefore I cannot tighten it to my chassis... now I have to either buy shorter screws or go buy a tap set and finish tapping... that is very disappointing! You can look in the screw holes and see the unfinished tap. The holes are 13.5mm deep, but only 8.5mm of it is tapped.

This picture shows how far off it is.

I wonder if they were just tapped with a tap with a long taper and never hit with a true bottom tap.

I found some m4x12mm screws and just used those to attach to the chassis.

Inner Dimensions: H 1.75" W 2.5" L 5"
Its definitely bigger than stock and will hold larger batteries. Its a little tricky to work on since it's top-fed. Exhaust is in the way. I'm going to drill a hole in the side for my kill switch light.

This is what I love about Kraken. They responded to my email and sent out the correct hardware.

I went and grabbed a receiver box that was new/unopened and checked it out. It looks like some received M4x16 flat head screws that were supposed to be M4x12 FHCS.

I have the correct hardware and I will have it mailed to you. Thank you for letting me know!

best regards,
Steve

Should have finished it off with a plug tap , the little scamps.
Exactly. Personally I would tap the entire hole and not just band-aid it with shorter screws. The RX box now acts likes a chassis brace and short screws are a potential weak point.

I appreciate the feedback and information from all.
