I have been bouncing around what I want to get for my next car. I don't like the 5ive 3.0 so I'm kind of considering one of the two clones of the v2

the 30dn with the 38cc looks like an absolute monster, and the rovan looks pretty stout with the 45cc. How is the build quality between either? I'm leaning towards the rovan because I'm familiar with them but the body on the 30DN is supposedly way more durable and thats kind of nice but if everything under its fragile it isn't much of a benefit.

I have the 30 degree North with the 38cc , zero complaints up to this point. I have done nothing to it except add a remote kill switch and painted the pipe black ........nothing else ( yet) LOL .
As far as the body it takes a pounding.

Oh yeah , almost forgot. I did snap the pull cord twice before upgrading to a little better rope. It snapped at the knot both times so keep that on your radar.

I have a Rovan and a 30dn. The Rovan is based off the v1 as far as the center diff orientation and the steering set up, unless they changed it. The 30dn is is based off the v2. In my opinion, and that really doesn't mean much, I like the way the 30dn is put together over the Rovan. At least the 30dn has oil in the diffs and not grease like the Rovan, that definitely makes changing to thicker oil easier. I added a bunch of Losi and aftermarket parts to each without any real fitment issues.

Thats interesting to know.

I think I'm going to join the wait list for the 30dn.

....or you could get the roller and put a Taylor in it.lol.
I don't know that another 1k in the budget for this project. I've still got an engine to replace in my baja and I'm going to put the fujiwara head and piston on my gr320

I actually just did that to my baja as well. I went with O'Neils fullmod fujiwara head that i put on a g320.

Yeah, what my final plan is depends on the damage the work on my trucks going to be. If the head isn't cracked and its just the gasket some of these projects will be moving forward pretty soon. If it is, well it'll be a bit.
