This whole truck is so heavy....I cannot add anymore weight to it. The carbon was cut using hacksaw and dremmel then files, i tried to avoid using power tool to minimize the dust. Pipeous, cheers for the tips, but that's the last I'll be cutting any CF if I can help it, lol it's just too much work and hazardous.

I will be fabricating a NYLON front bumper for this, and if I make a roll cage it will be nylon as well. I think that the chassis need to be STIFF, but impact protection should be flexible plastic to absorb the impact and not transfer it to other vital components of the truck.

HERE are what I build and sell for the nitro 1:8 HPI savage trucks.

Got the baby driven today for the very first time everything was functioning as it should, I just need to install the rollbars back on, paint the body then fabricate a front end bumper. The gears are still way too tight, still need to run her in.

dude id ditch the gear carrier an get the mcd one ,i had kcr one an had notin but trouble with mesh, an i no of a few others ,
good work tho!!

I ran it today for the first time.....It runs WICKED...The gears still tight, hopefully it will loosen up a little after a while, I been putting grease on the gears hoping that would help it wear in, and not heat up too much....it's burning my clutch though...

here's the Video of my nitros:

The quality is bit blur but you can watch it in HQ.

Progress 11.08.09

Finally got some time today to make small progress....I had problems with lots of stones going into the tub of the vehicle
as the metal side plates were hollow, so I got a sheet of polycarbonate, painted them with Lexan paint and pop riveted them into place to keep some debris out...Hopefully.
