Fg's are good Chop,just stripped the alloy off the bent one and got it back to factory spec.Its going on ebay soon,I just want my money back on it and I have all the alloy for free!.Got my adjustable LSD for the MT yesterday and setting my two speed up.Ordered a new set of diff holders from rc.online.de as the clowns on ebay wanted more for a set of used ones,a couple of days ago I got my new bottom end from DDM's and a few bits,like two sets of chrome engine covers and various small items.Just waiting for my new pipe from them,oh,and bought an alloy shock tower too and another set of alloy rear arms. J.E.Spares had a good offer on a 2.4Ghz Spek ,the DX3S so I bought one of them too.Bought a new battery for the MCD and a set of long travel shock to see if I can convert into an off roader.
My work shop used to look like a 10th scale model shop now its bending towards a 5th scale shop:blush: Oh well ,its all good fun.
I bought my Beetle and MT new,theres nothing like opening the box to see it them in all the naked glory!mg:

Like the others i've been following your build and it looks absolutly fab.

Got to get meself some tubing and welder and give this type of project ago, let my imagination go wild.

hi, yea give it ago, £50 for a small mig welder, £13 for a brake pipe bender that caters for 10mm tubing and tubing at £5 per 7m lengh hollow section tubing, i have some off cuts of kitchen work surfaces which are totally flat and you can make your jigs up and screw them down while you tack it all up, i would get as many parts tacked together before you totally weld it so as to stop distortion and try to put as many triangles in:boat:

hi, still designing the body, might need twin shox conversion, gonna try harder springs first, should have a vid soon:boat:

How about using silicone tubing the size of the springs to take up some space on the shock to see if stiffer springs awould make the difference?

blew my 5b up today so i nicked a few bits to get the dakar moving, gonna test it tomorrow, still needs body and paint, waiting to build the arches to suit the wheels/tyres when i get them:boat:
