Do you mean cable by "wire"? If so, you can build linkages with metal rods. If you got the metal rods and want something else, than do cable just like for the disc brakes.

The cables are not flimsy, it's just a preference, i would keep them if they get the job done.

Chris,
I mean the wires the servo pushes to open / close the throttle, and apply the rear layshaft brake.
They buckle if they're out of line.
OK it's for me to maintain them in line, but I'm working on it to replace with 4mm steel bar. Might work.

a bit of over kill there atom:clown::clown:the standard 2mm piano wire

is just fine...:nono:im wondering how you can get point "A" to point "B" out

of line

if you had solid bar you would be snapping either your servo or your carb

lever off:blush:

im running the stock metal rods that came with my FG, yes there is a bit of buckling the the rod when the brake are applied but I think these rods are designed for that

I've cable discs on the front and alloy rear brake with fibre disc on the back, and am using a Savox 1256TG servo but braking's still not amazing.
Not that I want it to, but with my LST2 I can forward somersault in braking, the lock's that good.
OK there's a huge difference between 6-7kg and 15kg but the LST's got 1 brake, the FG has 3.
Is there a huge difference again if I switch to hydraulic?

No, I'm not.
The servos are mounted on an alloy plate.
As I said the servo's now a Savox 1256TG, which deforms the fuel tube on the rear to nearly nothing, so there's plenty of power.
I would like to see the front be able to lock up, and then back peddle from there, instead of going on full brakes, and still seeing the wheels turning without problem, and that's with 'h' compound tyres all round, which it came with, and blasted spins the rears non-stop ... ... :(
