cheers all for the comments
it does have a few minor probs like the tube that covers the 4th bolt hole on the pullstart and the front A arms hit the cage on hard landings but thats all to be addressed on the next cage.another change i want to make to the next cage is to a have a 6 point X brace in the roof rather than the current 4 point V brace.......this is purely to add a touch more strength for those nasty roof landings:D

also the alloy panels will be getting swapped for lexan panels, they will be getting a little funky too with possibly some vents down the sides and maybe a bonnet bulge of some sort to make it look really mean:D
and i really need to sort out the nose too..............aaaaahhh the list goes on lol

stay tuned

uh??
i don't need any inspiration i got enough of my own lol
the only problem i have is doing things 1/5 scale & not 1/1:D

Make a 1/1 then :D
space & money dude....if i lived in america i would have something monstrous for sure lol

Chop is in your neck of the woods....

How about making your next cage quick release...

i can see why some cages are made to be quick release but iv designed it so i can work on pretty much everything with the cage in situe.so far the only thing iv found i cant do is remove the tank........i can live with that:celebrate:
also & i think timmahh may agree with me on this 1-when useing 12 mounting points to mount the cage it has a SOLID feel to it as everything is all tied in together-shock mounts, engine braces, chassis & front kick up,its all 1 solid unit.

iv taken this cage off 30ft clifts on more than 1 occasion & the dam thing still comes back for more.:D

yes i do. the SB cage i run is 12 point mounted. i can literally stand on any part of the cage, and the buggy reacts as one unit. Love the added planted feeling i get with the added weight. I did some shifting of weight prior to the cage, and now with it on, think i may of taken to much weight out of the rear as the front is even more plated. i may re address this a bit and try to better balance the weight between front and rear.

out of curiosity timmahh wheres your C of G at?
mines 3.5 inches forward of the sparkplug.

cheers mate:D:D:D:D
wait till i get a 668 on it then it'll really go some.im currently running a 813 as my old 668 craped out on me.the 813's a good carb just not really suited to the larger engines.the performance is good but throttle response is totally poop.

sounds and Looks great Vandal. Excellent job on the cage.
