Hello,

Ive had my TR clutch system for about a year now and I cant remove the bolt that holds the pinnion on, its to tight to turn,

any ideas?

Cheers

leave the spur meshed with the pinion, then take a 2nd spur and hold it to the installed pinion/spur. meshing the one your holding, with the installed ones. then use that spur to hold the gears while turning out the pinion bolt.

if its been in that long, you may have a bit of rust residue built up in the threads of the bell, that may need to loosen up a bit.
alternatively, you can grab a pair of channel lock (slip jaw) pliers and an old rag. wrap the wrag over the pinion teeth, and grab it with the slip jaw pliers, then turn the pinion out. the rag acts as some protection from the jaw teeth harming the pinion.

Ive tryed that and its still too tight :crying:

I'll try the heat and see if that works

liquid wrench is the ticket for loosening rusty bolts. I also have this stuff my brther uses for repairing massive machines in mills and mines. he travels the world doing this crap... it's called kano kroil from kano industries. amazing stuff. I am restoring a 1974 honda dirt bike and needed some extra help and he dropped me off a can of this stuff
