Hi there all fg owners, I'm having trouble with my fg baja, it will fire but as soon as any throttle is added it kills itself. I have put fresh fuel in and still no joy. Is there anyone out there that can help?
I have been to modelsport in otley but they didn't really give a damn, after me ringing them and travelling through after they said they would look at it only to get there and be turned away. THANKS.

pull your carb off and give it a good clean in petrol (pull it all apart) check all the gaskets and also check the head for hairline cracks also have a look at the fuel cap as it should have a breather hole that might be blocked unless you have a breather pipe.
if all fails you might have an air leak and that could be mind blowing.

Hi there I have had the car stored from last year as I don't like to use it in the wet. I will try taking the engine apart and go from there give everything a good clean and check for any wear to piston and casing.

Thats not good service  Give Rossendale Models a ring & they will talk you through a few checks over the phone (01706 250007). They are excellent

Have you tried a new plug as Mike says? What sort is your carb? It might have been on its way out when you put it away for the winter & this has just killed it off. Dependant on usage they will only give 12-18 months of good service obviously light usage will give you longer.
