ok so i have my baja 5t w a skopod n had a couple ideas n wanted to get some imput on this

ok so i wanna try to put the 62 in my fg monster 4x4 belt what do u think im gonna have to replace other than motor mounts n linkage

There was debate on here a while back that a well sorted tuned 30cc motor would be quicker than a 62cc cos of the power to weight ratio. 62cc would be awesome tho but Im not sure how you would go about it. I suppose you would have to upgrade the diff and drive shafts for a start as it would have a lot more torque.

weighing up the costs it would probably be cheaper to go for a fully sorted standard size mill that you know will fit & perform as it should.

the clutch is the same size as the baja n fg so whatever u wanna use for ur fg u can use this motor also the revs im not to sure yet cause i still have to put it in my baja

If the clutch is the same, Im ASSUMING a much bigger engine will rev lower, so you don't have much of a rev band.
With the low torque I'm assuming you'll be popping wheelies whether you like it or not, and then will run out of puff too early.
Al.

can,t see any standard diff coping with the extra power either, there must be a lot of upgrading to be done on all the drive train.

there was a thread on here a few months back of a beetle bodied ???

running on the sand and it would not get off the mark without being

pushed along:cool::lol:

K....

you will need a dremel to lengthen the holes where the motor mounts bolt to chassis, getting the layshaft to mesh with ring gear may be a problem.

is it a 2WD or 4WD ull be running?

here is a link to a guy with the 62 in his baja in the sand. he didn't need to be pushed and the thing is insane. it is the one with the vw body.

what are you watching? first clean glasses then watch. the guy's on sand for one and it's throwing rooster tails like mad, hum...............what do you think. but let me guess, you also think that the 23cc has more power than the guy who put a 2 cylinder in his baja. run the tallest gears you can with a 23cc and see what happens. then put the tallest gears with the 62cc and see what happens.

I am watching the video you posted. Just drop the attitude. What are you, eleven years old? Seen a lot of baja videos with the 23/26/29 on dunes that could pop wheelies and trow dirt behind them, the only difference being they don't have to be thrown away to get going. There is a probably a lot of torque, but thats about it.
And sorry the engine just revs really low, its not very impressive.
