Are you putting this part on a older Losi? If so the newer losis use a a different spur gear. Might be fitment issues.

The .5’s come stock on the 2.0

These aren’t blackbone gears, just gears I got from eBay. Interesting though and confirms what I thought. #19 it is. Also did a little digging and found out that the .5 inserts are for the 5t 2.0. Different spur gear.

Couple of questions I m hoping I can get answered here. I’m looking to put a 54/23 gear combination in my 5b. Would I be correct in saying I need #19 engine inserts? Figured the 5t stock gearing is 58/19 with a #19 inserts. 58+19=77 & 54+23=77 so I’m concluding I need #19, right? Also what are...

Is the rx compatible? I’ve heard that there are control problems with spectrum and 5th scale. Unrelated to your problem but just be careful. Always wanted one of those Dragon hammers. Please post some pictures.

All good choices. All have great part support. If your leaning toward gas and on a budget I would get a DBXL non-electric version which I’m sure you could pick up for a steal used. Or a Vekta if your wallet allows and never look back. Just my opinion. Currently waiting on some trepidor...
