Finally getting around to fixing my MTXL. I picked up some FID housings and Hot Racing cups. I put 60,000 in the diff's. Also repacked the bearings. I found the upper holes on the rear diff braces stripped out, and it looks like they did it on assembly. Had some kind of glue all over the...

I've got one on my MTXL and its perfect. Sounds like you have some thing amiss. If you pull the carrier and bell from the engine, does it spin freely?

did you get the one for the Dynamite engine?

Thanks bangbang! If I have excessive wear, or more issues once I use the aluminum housings, I'll be going back to fluid on the center. I'll try it first with the locker. And I agree, the stock engine is a ripper! Yep, got the locker!

Got the MTXL out just as the snow was leaving. Blew the rear diff!!

I'm also running an ESP head. Allan said I could go as low as .012 for more power. I'm at .016 and it's running great. I however don't have the long stroke conrod.

Looks like you have an MTXL as well! That's what I'm working on at the moment! I really wanted to try the GAP housings, but can't wait until they are back in stock. I went ahead and ordered the FID housings from China! I hope it doesn't take two months to get them!!
