On servos, some have 2 steering channels such as the Traxxas TQI that is used in erevo. Others, like Losi LST XXL use a y harness. I have 5T and think 1 strong servo is fine.

I used Losi kill switch and it worked when I got about 300 feet out.

When installed properly you turn the car on and off with the switch on the remote as opposed to the kill switch on the engine. The Kill further engages when signal is lost, preventing runaway and catastrophe.
