1/2 sizes in Engine mounts

Can anyone tell me how you can get a 1/2 gear. I've seen the engine mount offered in 17, 17.5, 18, 18.5, 19, 19.5 ....... Dose anyone know what the .5 size are used for????

i am sure they are to take up the wear in the gear train

fromwhat i have read the .5 is used after you have slightly work out the gears and the mesh is getting loose

Lol don't see how you can make a pinion with 18.5 teeth. But yeah what they said is to adjust gear mesh.
