Hey guys, I have been following this very closely and thought it needed to be shared. Micro racing has undertaken a huge project. They are going to be selling a 1/4 scale truck that could change our views on large scale r/c. The plan is to do a 4wd, 2 speed, 65lb truck with a proprietary engines from 60 to 125cc. It will also have reverse!
This is going to be cool!
Here is a sneak peek at what is coming:
The Chassis- 1/4" steel 46" long.

The wheels:
Material: Aluminum Alloys 6061
OD: 7.75 inch, 3.5 inch thickness
Weight: 2 lbs per Pcs
Total weight: 8 lbs set

Interchangeable centers:

Compared to a 5B wheel and tire set:

Skid rails: Made from Delrin

The cylinder head: 62cc

I know this vehicle isn't for everyone. It will be a bit more $$ than our 5th scalers, but not by much when you factor in what we spend on upgrades and such. I think it is very cool of the guys at Micro to push the limits of large scale rc.
More to come......
