Hi guys this is Draggline53, I'll be purchasing a mcd competition v4 mt in two wks I need to know what upgraded servo's should I install, Hitech? look forward to hearing from you soon

Something to bear in mind.
Plan FORWARD.

If you can budget a reasonable amount of money, some are going to LiPo powered radio gear, generally indicated as 'HV' (high voltage) on the servos.

There are quite a few servos that cannot take this voltage, but many that can.
Multiplex have recently replaced the Digi4 Rhino with the HV Digi4 (or 5?), so they continue.
I definitely have Rhinos, but tried a high current regulator to drop the direct feed I had to 6V - got too complicated.

There is an answer, and after all of the above, you DON'T have to go HV LiPo.
2S LiFe is the answer - 6.6V - perfect!!
That's what I use now.

Basically, don't make rash decisions - try to plan your purchases ahead.
Al.

Ok have to say thank you again AL, I'm going to assume that multiplex is the servo company? By God you guy's are the best of the best just love this Web-site. I'm purchasing my mcd v4 from largescale.com almost ready to run, requires servo's and tx/rx. The motor I'm selecting is zenoah 26cc four bolt just around $1600.00. Must say I like the old tires on the proline ones.

multiplex is owned wholly by hitec, the rhino digi 4 is exactly the same as the 5755 and the new rhino is a hitec HV5765...only difference is the colour of the case...we can't buy rhino here anymore just the hitec version but all good as they are 20bucks cheaper.
also i have good info that hitec are soon to release a +1000inoz monster servo
