Okay so recently I purchased a Turnigy 1/5 FG SPORTSLINE 2wd Replica
what I noticed i have yet too find anyone who actually drifts the 1/5 scales right... So I bought it it arrived two days ago and it is already in construction.
1. I sold the 23cc motor, the mustang body, and the black slicks.
2. I purchased for my build
-Turnigy TrackStar 1/5th Sensorless Brushless Motor 730KV (55mm can) 11s capable
-Turnigy Trackstar 1/5th Scale Sensorless 200amp 8s capable
-3ch radio and receiver 2.4g
-5000mAh 6S1P 30C (Im going to upgrade once I see how this pack handles may be enough)
-GRP Medium Compound Wheels/Tires (To be painted black)
-FG 320si 4 door body (TO be painted white)
This build is in progress so I will update pictures as I go!
So far to make this drift and it will still be a racer! Im going to make it more like a real cars weight dist.
I cut out a slot in front bumper to place battery in front for more weight.
I will mount Esc in front section.
Im going to make the front brake servo on a y split with esc so that I can make them run in sync on one channel. Then I will have a seperate servo for rear brakes on the 3rd channel so I have a functional e-brake. Luckily servo bracket is already setup for another servo!
I already took off rear end to put heavy heavy weight oil in rear diff so i get more of a LSD differential feel.
Lastly I will run different tires in rear for drifting a hard compound. AS well as front suspension is soft and rear is hard.
Any other suggestions?
