I know we have heard rumors... But HPI just released pics of their new 1/8th scale gas NOT NITRO engines. Due date of march this year. Idea sounds awesome... What is everyone's thoughts?


I am ready to buy one!!! Pics are on their site... Or google hpi revolution.
 
nice to see there catering to the smaller scale with gas engines now....ive had a savage 25 sittin here with a blown top end that i refuse to fix due the hassles and cost of nitro...i think my savage may be resurrected with one of these motors if there not to pricey
 
My lhs said price will be for what its worth between $500-$700 range. I seen some where that the engine is again for what its worth,the eqivelent of a .26 nitro. Wonder if associated and losi and the other manufactures will folow suit. We will have to wait and see.That being said we will have to see the price of the engine by itself for possible conversions of our nitros.
 
not against the gas engine but if the price is to high it will flop. On the other hand if its 200 or less may be worth considering if you want to upgrade the nitro to gas. As far as the end of nitro goes, i don't think so. you can buy 8 gallons of nitro for about 200 bucks maybe a little more if you lilke better fuel, anyways the point being you can run all your nitros on the 8 gallons of fuel and have a blast with all the existing platforms.
 
rite on, im not saying its not a good idea if your upgrading 1 model, but if your like me and run many nitros, id rather keep buiying nitro fuel and keep my nitro engines, haha i to have a savage x on the way and may consider the gas engine for it possibly but to say id give up all my nitros for 1 gas engine, i'd say hell no.
 
Well the guy i traded my hyper 7 to seemed allright to trade with but the savage never showed up - so no more consideration for a conversion for me. Anyways - just a quick reminder to those working out trades, always make sure you save your receipt especially till the transaction is finished. I told the guy to email me when he got my car, he said to do the same. We bolth said we would us the post office. I told him id be purchasing tracking confirmation when i sent the ride out. Since I had not heard from him in awhile i decided to see if his package confirmed and it did. When i wrote him the email back he said he assumed i got the truck because he hasnt heard from me. He also said that the package was confirmed but didnt save the receipt. So unless he comes up with some tracking info from the post office he cant prove he shipped me a truck. Just some more bs to deal with. If people arent going to be responsible, they shouldnt even bother trading. I cant call up the pdept or post office and tell them something may have been stolen off my porch if I cant give them a tracking # So hope this helps ya out when you deal with future people selling and trading.
