a quick vid of me running in the new race ported g260rc with a 668 carb set at 2 turn out on the hi needle and 1.5 turns out on the low with a ddm top end pipe on my all alloy fg mt i just finshed building,

i only got to run a tank thru it as it started pissing down with rain ill have another go tomorow, befor this vid the engine was only run for less then 2 mins in my back yard, once its run in and with a tune i think this will fly

So I take it you couldn't throw another shrimp on the barbie and crack another tinny open ? I wish we could have a bit of nice weather over here,it was sunny for 3-4 days now everythings gone back to normal:(

its not tuned yet its very very ritch and 4 stroking so wait till its tuned then she will rip, as it was only just starting to lift the front wheels.

its winter over here i live down the bottom of the south west australia its a lot colder and rains here during winter.

as for this saying I take it you couldn't throw another shrimp on the barbie and crack another tinny open it is not austrlian its american ive nver heard it said here at all only on usa movies.

any way the g270rc was good motor but i here these have less low and mid torque but rev higher so it should be good.

soon i will have another ported g260rc head with much more porting and a lighten ported piston the head will be ported to suit my ddm top end pipe so this new one should make big mobs of power but fuel eccomany will suck.
 
Looking good benckie....does the truck feel alot different with all the alloy on?

Mine did, it feels solid when driving it...what do you think?
 
yeah totaly difrent, better sofar i like the extra weight, i ned more tanks thru it to get used to it as i have not driven for a while
 
Looks good my friend....I have only ran the first 10 minutes about half throttle the go wide open from there.....,ya want to break it like your going to drive it....I have done that before on engines that was not used for rc cars,,,,..best to you benckie...Slawhammer
 
yeah i knew i would run it in like that hence why the carb needles are at 2 h and 1.5 low, instead of 1.5 high and 1. 1/4 Low and cause i used full sinthetic oil for run in, so theres lost more fuel and oil to help the full wot run in
