Thats what I was saying about resale value. Most of the parts on that are unneccessary or just for looks. You don't get your money back on parts just for looks. Thats way overpriced. Its been on ebay for a bit. Ive been watching too. If whoever built it only put on parts that were performance oriented they would get a big chunk of it back when they sold it. Spend your $ wisely and you will get a nice chunk back when you sell, spend carelessly and you probably wont get very much return.
 
i would love to see all the questions and comments he is getting on that .I am sure alot of em start with "are you nuts"
 
Nice, but my 1:1 cars arent worth that much! In all honesty, and im purely speculating here, I bet hes just "showing" it off on Ebay.
 
I have sold bajas for much more than that. There are a few buyers that are willing to pay you to get the most iinteresting things for them and make custom one-offs. But that was 2-3 years ago and most of those guys have moved onto other things.

Come on guys, how many people spent over $10000 when the first plasma TV's came out. I know a few that did. Six months later they were down to $3000. People just like to spend a bunch of money to be unique and have something no one else has. Whether they use it or not. Like Rob said, he sold some for more than that before. I bet there is some person out there wanting to feel special and will probably buy it, throw it in a box and forget about it.


If I had $10000 to throw away I would think about all the starving children in Africa. I'd buy 20 of them one Rampage each... :D

Yeah I think it fall apart with all that NOS and a 62cc motor. I still wouldn't pay 10k for it. I'd go buy another motorcycle and a few rc's
 
One of the owners of a Vegas Casino was buying his Trophy Truck customers fully modded bajas as presents for staying there while the races were on. He didn't care how much they were, he just gave me thier names and I built them full blown show trucks to have on their pit tables for show.
 
Yeah, well you're in cahoots with those motor guys anyways...... :D .......I keep buying more horsepower and more parts!
 
Of course a high dollar 1/5 is worth more $ to the person it was built for than the person who is buying it 2nd hand. Thats the story of all rc: "I built this or had this built to my own custom specs and now I want to sell it and everyone thinks its not worth what I paid because it was built to my specs not theirs"
 
Building hotrods is the same thing it takes a buyer looking for your exact vision to buy it, not everyone will want it. Wrong color why did you do it that way i would have done this,that kind of thing.Its a beautiful car and if money was no object i would be showing you all pics of my new shelf queen.

Hoity Toity! If you had paid 10,000 pennies on earth day in recyled paper he'd pobably forgo doing the math as long as they werent ass pennies.
