now the day befor this vidoe was made there was oild every where over the motor and gear plate i re done the bolts and gave it a quick wipe down.

i would think the pipe broke in the flip, but from the oil on the motor and gear plate, brakes and over the rear shocks and so on, it makes me think the pipe was cracked broken befor hand ? but there was no crash ive had to cause this ?

the truck wanst no driven after the flip and the motor hasnt been started since i can explane the oil on the front of the motor but no the oil on the rear shokcs rear shock tower, int he brakes and so on.

any way every bolt and screw in the rollcage was bent and well as a few others in the front end, ut every thing else is ok, ive has real bad jump lands at full wot but this has caused more damage

DANG!

My DOM started to leak at the weld too. I brought it in and had it welded good as new. You should be able to weld that one too.

Sucks when an alloy part breaks. So, much harder then when a plastic one does. Can you just buy the arm?

Good fun looks to be had though!:2guns:

i spoke to ddm about this pipe, as i belive its been cracked for a while, i told Brad how the tail pipe was blocked 40% it had weld blocked the exhuaust inlet and how i had to drill the gear plate mount bigger and cut the the centre cross brace of the roll bar to fit the pipe.

i also sent Brad from ddm pictures of the pipe, Brad said he will replace it and has sent a new one to my hobby shop (power slide racing) where i brought the pipe from in australia, and i have swaped the pipe for a jetpro v2 pipe and i also brought a ddm torque pipe from ddm one of the cheap coloured one.

i belive the ddm torque pipes fit up better then the ddm top end pipe ? i guess ill have the wait and see, i most likly wouldnt of brought the ddm torque pipe, but i wasnt sure how i would go getting the pipe replaced, and to be honest the ddm top end pipe works bloody well and is a good pipe, its just a female dog to work on

as for the the elcon front uprights (hubs) i never liked them to start with, you can by single left or right hubs and you can just by arms and so on from europe, power slide racing in australia has the elcon hubs for sale.

but i sold the undamaged hub to some on my local forum cheap and i have brought fg alloy front hubs as i was planing on doing this any way, but i was just planing on selling two used elcon hubs not one lols

It is always sad when something brakes on your darling :) I have heard a lot of people having problems with these DDM Dominator pipes. I think it is dreadful that you have to modify (cutting braces off, bore the mounting hole bigger, reweld the mounting bracket and so on....) a expensive pipe that is sold to fit the FG Monster. I was about to buy this pipe aswell but due to that I read about these problems I bought the Samba instead (and I`m glad I did when I see your problems with the pipe)

Why doesn`t DDM fix these problems. They have been known for a while now :bored:

PS. I also heard that people are having trouble with the Rear Dominator v2 (to the HPI Baja) leaking by the manifold. I think that DDM needs to step up a bit qualitywise if they want to keep the customers :2guns:

the ddm pipes ive had for the baja 5b and the ddm fg top end fitment was a female dog, but i would still recomend the fg top end pipe to any one, great pipe great power, just check out the vids my single speed truck moves out (sorry blowing my own trumpet).

ddm didnt even blink an eye and replaced the pipe no questions asked all sorted out with one email.
