12 from a 28.5 zen..can't see it myself..

guy in the link provided claims to have pushed 8 from a zen....the port design and lack of reed induction limits what you can get out of them 7.5 to 8.5(with ts reed case) seems to be the tops for claimed figures..12hp is just silly talk.
it would be nice to see a reed motor with a power valve...then you could get some serious hp numbers

no i do belive 8hp could be had and even 12hp is possible but only running nos im sure ian oddie managed 18hp from a zen using nos but only ran for a short time and died but he did manage over 10hp and reliable as well,,but this 5t is being sold as a 12hp car and somebody who buys it is going to be joining a forum soon braging about his 12hp monster and how fast it is blah blah and hes going to get a slating and feel a inch tall and gutted

i emailed the guy selling it:rolleyes:

i asked had he got a graph showing the BHP:lol:

the reply was as you might of guessed was........no:p

K....

no real suprise mate to be honest i never got a print out for mine but ian did send me a email with the dyno/run in results so i know what mines got and thats without the added tps red race kit and ecu which make a huge difference

No I am just saying but wasn't the old hp ghp and the new nhp. If he dynoed it on a old water dyno it may of mesured that much. But I know he is full of bs.

Some ratings were 'at the flywheel', others at the driven wheels.
Some are 'minus ancilleries' - thus maximum possible.

I'm sure somebody can Google the strict definitions - they'll all probably be available in Wikipaedia.
