Changed a few settings back to default, timing , punch control, braking force and reverse force. The motor makes considerably more power than with 0 timing and max punch control, duh! LOL


Even on this HOT day was noticeably cooler than when I ran the last time at night! Maybe the 1717 doesn't like super low timing or max punch control? Im truly baffled. :confused:
 
Hate to say this, but try contacting the support team at Castle. Maybe they can shed some light on your wierd situation??
 
I just put a 1717 in mine. Seems to run great! I need to get a hobby wing programmer so I can see what the ESC setting are. (bought used)
 
I got my programmer today and I lowered the timing to 1. Temps were up 10 degs. I put the timing back. Per CC website the temps are suppose to be lower with low timing.
