Hallo, someone out there running the 18T pinion on their rig? I want to update the pinion for more low end acceleration, but I have to buy a new clutch bell and the pinion. I just wanted to know if the difference is THAT noticeable to bother.
In paper it seems like just one tooth is negligible, but I'm guessing a tooth difference in the pinion is actually many teeth PER tire revolution...
 
I run a 19tooth on my rig and find that it accelerates quickly, would imagine an 18 tooth pinion would quickly run out of steam. But could be ideal for a technical tight track.
Don't think many people will have ran an 18 tooth as most gear up not down.
Just for info I also have a 20tooth and 21tooth pinion to try out thanks to a bashin buddy.
