2 differant tire tread patterns

Hello,
my 4wd sportsline has a different tread pattern fronts are different froms the rears. Is this common?

to be honest I don't think it matters for looks yeah I prefer them the same all round but I cant see it makes any difference the tread is only really there to help it get warm as it moves around while your driving they wont last long anyway so you can get some the same all round soon

I noticed this as well. For time wise, about how many tanks of gas does car go through until the tires need to be replaced? (Normal parking lot driving, not racing).
