I am not familiar with the XRC's but the engine sounds a bit restricted and as if it should have more zip to it? Might just be my ears! This is not meant in an offensive way BTW!

That motor sounds as flat as a fart! There is some serious tuning issues you need to do.
Have a look through the engine thread to see if you can rectify it.

That BMX track looks like a top venue :cool2:

Yeah its an awesome spot. Always empty, always clean and the jumps arnt massive so not much chance in breaking stuff!

Plus no houses close so noise is not a problem! which is awesome becase im usually there 7am on a sat morining. :)

That looks like a very nice track and a nice bit of driving not on the grass once.
Matt.

Thanks mate. Its a little on the underpowered side as you can tell so easy to control. I can do 20-30 laps without spinning it.

Plus those banked turns help heaps. The only non banked turn is right at the end just before coming onto the main mound which is what we stand on. Even at walking pace my buggy understeers a little, at a decent speed I slide under the fence at the back LOL. :)

I assume its a CY or Zen 23cc so it shouldnt be underpowered & maybe just needs tuning up as Voo said. There is a sticky in the engine section that will help. It should have plenty if zip off the line but it doesn't seem to get into any high revs. What gearing do you have on it?

If you have under steer you can try 1DEG toe in on the front and take the back end up so the dog bones are just a little over horizontal ,take the front A-arms to horizontal and that should give you a more responsive steer.
Good luck and have fun, your track looks the dogs!

Its not the tune. It really needs a tuned pipe which ive paid for and still waiting for.

The plug is a light brown. If I lean it off anymore it struggles to get off the line.

This is as good as it gets without a tuned pipe im afraid. :(

Its not a CY or a Zen, its a cheap chinese built donk. Different gears would help but all XRC's go like this stock.

Thanks for the advice. Might give it a try this weekend. :)

don't know why didnt think of that myself LOL.

Or don't use the gas when turning as i do ....

mine under steers all the time as its lifting the load off the front wheels when i gas it ....

Yours is fookin quick tho Super :cool2: surely it shouldnt understeer so bad based on the speeds in the vid?? Wot you think??

ive never picked up a HPI or clone but my XRC has majority of its weight on the rear. This cant be helping. Prolly wouldnt be as bad if i could get tha back to slide more that way I could take the corners sharper.

Ah well not long to go now till I get my FG running anyway so no stress. :)

You will love the FG mate!! Bet you cant do 20-30 laps without spinning that :clown: Will look forward to the next videos!

LOL that sounds like a challenge dwarfy.

And I graciously accept.

Hope to have some vids of the FG on same track in about a fourtnight once I broken her in :)
