to be honest dude i wouldnt bother, dual setup used to be the way togo as the servos that were available at the time struggled to do the job solo, so people went dual setup, but nowadays with the likes of the 5755 & Rhinos, there more than capable dude :)

Also dual servos will drain your battery more quickly than using one servo dude.

Dual servo's are noy really necesary anymore bud....you can get some VERY grunty ones now.....try this one on ebay...[EBAY]250647371077[/EBAY]

Damn cheap too......

These ones come stock in the Rovansort baja's now and they are a good servo..

I would go with one real good one like the 5755 and keep the other for a back up. You really don't need two. If you don't replace the servo saver it won't matter anyhow. And after you tighten it up, there will be no give except at your servo gears. Ouch!!

Thanks all of you.
New project (15 kg ) with short travel for servo ( no place , poky ? ) ,maybe ask for two big servos , I think. ?????????????????

I'm running two HS-805BB servos in my 1/5 monster truck, off an 8amp bec, running from two 3s, 1500mah lipo packs in parallel, and its the minimum steering torque I'd be happy with!

Thats nearly 50kg/cm of torque... pretty sure you won't find a single servo that does that.

50kg/cm is (very) good number and not from one servo.

Ultimate decision

I do however have very large tyres, so I need the torque.

I have twin Rhinos on mine - tyres are big !!!!
I do agree that ONE might have been fine, but if you can ....

I've fitted MCD MT tyres to FG-replica alloy wheels - perfect fit.

I'll build the jig for new chassis for two steering servos.

Maybe you could see photos next week.

You can bud....if money is no object you can get a Tonegawa servo that will be double that!!

Check it out here...http://www.tonegawaseiko.co.jp/pro/e_pro01.html

hitec has a new servo out, the hs-7980th. here are the specs

6.0V 7.4V
Speed: 0.20 sec 0.17 sec
Torque: 500 oz/in (38 kg/cm) 611 oz/in (46 kg/cm)
Dimensions: 1.72 x 0.88 x 1.57" (43.69 x 22.35 x 39.8mm)
Weight: 2.70oz (76.54g)

this is slightly larger (about 10%) than a standard size servo. this should steer any 1/5 scale with ease

i use an 805bb in my baja and one in my firehammer. the firehammer weighs about 35lbs due to being about 5" longer and rampage mt tires and other things done to it, and they work well. i bought a 1/5 servo from hobbyking for about $25 and it has 455oz of torque and a speed of .20 and metal gears. i use it in my pocket quad rc that weighs around 60lbs. its works good.

+1 to the 5755, did over 40 tanks in my FG MT with massive wheels and it never missed a beat, now I run one in my FG Baja and HPI 5B SS, very happy with them, super reliable.
