Anyone had the OWB go out on them yet in the 2 speed?

Went out to a popular off roading spot yesterday and was tearing it up on the dunes when it just stopped dead in its tracks. Figured I blew up the diff, but when I got home and checked it out, seems that the diff is okay.

The OWB is shot, spur just spins around the shaft, no power going to the tranny, and one of the other bearings seized up. The regular bearings are easy enough to get replacements for, but I can't find anything on the OWB.

So where can I find one of these? The stupid instruction card that comes with it is less then helpful, listing the part as "bearing" I'm not about to buy a whole new two speed just for this one bearing. I'll just convert it to a single speed and beef it up with TR components before I do that.

I have decided that I'm totally putting paddles, diff locker, and a full cage on this thing and turning it into a dune machine, I was having a blast before it blew up :)

might shoot Dan a pm on ebay store, he might know more or contact KM itself, and ask if you cant get just the bearing owb

Looks like the whole mess was caused by another damn screw vibrating loose. This time on the clutch housing, which pressed against the brake causing it to rub and I'm guessing the resulting heat destroyed the bearings. Frustrating, seems I've spent more time repairing then running so far.

hmm so far i haven't had any screws back out, i made sure to get plaenty of loctite on bolts. and thanks for the link i saved it in favs for future.

when i tookmine apart for upgrades i swapped all the existing bearings i could to some TFE ones.

Just thought I should share that the bearing listed in the vxb link is NOT the one needed for the 2 speed!!!! If you notice the inner part of the bearing is only keyed once, where there should be two inner keyes!!! Wish I would have noticed this, coulda saved almost $30 bucks and those cost of converting back to a one speed!!!!
