I would change out the arms to plastic before anything else. Those plastic arms can take a beating.

yes i agree with that.

only thing i would never change back from alloy, maybe if bashing for a day,i had unreal trouble before with my turnbuckles ripping from the a-arms at the rear, god that was a pain, loosing driveshafts then also....

but they take some beating and are cheap to replace, raises questions all the same about plastic vs alloy

would like to see a new thread on this sometime.
what you think btb?

yeah thats true too lol

i suppose this has been talked about here a lot already says you,old news lol

what do you suggest for an engine that keeps moving on the chassis, not to start it in the first place? haha:lol:

i want to see what you think,i have tryed everything, you can pick up on the discussion on slawhammers thread,he is trying to help me with it..

yeah man what a pain

i think sinse i got the more powerful higer reving motor it means more vibrations.

i ran it the other day and my god it litterly drove me mad,had to mesh gears every half tank.

it is very bad, used load of blue, red loctite.
tryed new washers and new screws,i need to get this sorted for once and for all.

was thinking of using some thing really strong in those engine screws, but thats no good if i need to remove then..:(

I just posted my fgbaja vid so you can see a 2speed in action, I got the new version dps alloy rear arms which do not bend...one roll in the vid would have pulled the rod ends again in plakky arms...i stretched or broke probably half a dozen before I went alloy...the front arms are plastic though as they're well tough.
dc I feel for you...i always have a few problems when i run but that's cos I spank the piss outta my fg in the not best of terrains for it but my drivetrain has never given me any problems like yours has...i don't even loctite my engine screws cos I'm sick of stripping them when i try to take them out...and they don't come loose...i don't think your fg likes you:no:
