23 or 30.5?

Hello, I hope this hasn't been beat to death but I am looking for my 1st 1/5 and pretty excited about it. I have had many nitro trucks etc... and looking forward to a little less sensitive tuning. My question is, what are the performance differences in the 23 vs 30.5? I am not interested in top end, just low end quickness if that helps. Not gonna be a serious basher, just runnin it around the yard, chasing the neighborhood cats etc... but I do want a good running, quick buggy.
I have watched many youtube vids and done some reading and there doesn't seem to be that much low end difference in the two. Just thought I'd ask some guys with experience.

Go for the 30.5. When tuned correctly and with a good pipe there's pleanty of low end grunt.

Also, if low end torque is all you're going for you can also change the gears.
