ok my km buggy has the 23cc in it. theres nothing wrong with it. i bought a used 30.5 off ebay and that i believe is good. lots of compression no scores on the piston or cylinder wall and the bearings appear good it also has a +2 crank. so should i pull a perfectly good running motor out to put in an untested used 30.5cc in it? is there that much difference in performance? what do you all think?

i would just run the 23cc for now..then down the road if it runs into issues or low compression you can rebuild it while you drive the buggy with the 30.5..imo the 23cc has faster of the start speed but the 30.5 has more torque

yah if the 23 is running good i would wait till it acts up on ya then swap and fix the 23, then ya always will have a spare motor

I Very much agree here!!!
