i just picked up a 23cc tt and im wondering how they run. do the 23s make any power? worth putting on a pipe?

Yes get a pipe. The 23cc makes enough power to keep you moving on the mid to high end, its the low end thats really lacking the most. Pipes wake up engines more than headkits IMO.

Its a good idea to start w/ a pipe because if you like it then youve only spent $ on a pipe.

If you get a headkit first your probably still going to want a pipe for the bottom end.

Id spend the least $ first and see if thats good enough. If you have the $ though get a headkit and a pipe.

cool guys thanks. ill order up a side dom for it.the head kit ill wait for untill it needs one.

the 23cc was always enough for me. Ive driven a 27.5cc and it was almost a little too much unless you had alot of room to let it scream and not worry about it running loose.

i do have alot of room the area that i run is aprox 8 football fields, all wide open mowed grass at my old high school. its a pretty sweet spot. i will give the pipe a try and go from there. as long as its not a total slug im sure ill be happy.

then you should be very happy with just the 23cc. Ive never driven a stock 23cc without a pipe. When i bought my truck it already had a ddm side pipe on it. I never could figure out why everyone wanted to upgrade until i drove the 27.5. Even then i was very happy with my piped 23

Kryptonite put up a video a long while back, before he went AWOL on us :D , with a 23cc in his TT. The performance was very good. He even had it running up a big hill.

When the XT's come out it's gonna be all about the 23-26cc's. I'm running a 26cc marine engine that is known for low torque and higher revs. I can still shread my lawn with that setup. A ported 23cc would be even better. If I wasn't jacking with this tranny stuff all the time I'd pick one up and port it for testing. A TS reeded 23 would be the top dog.
