if i got the kit from rampagehopups.com would i have to get an aftermarket carb? if so what would be good? any special tools needed to tear the topend down? i would like the mt to have some balls off the line. i got the red clutch springs on the way, any ideas on a low to mid pipes? i was thinking this might be a good start. any help would be great. thanks

thanks, with the power increase, should i get different dog bones and stuff for the drive train? i also have the upgrade kit too.

I wouldn't upgrade the dog bones till you wreck the stocker's. Might not be a bad idea to have a spare or 2 just incase. Upgrade kit is a awsome envestment, there is everything you might need in there. As for a pipe, get sprint to do you one, I have the JP but it is UGLY:eek:. And every one teases me about how ugly it is. :( It performs well, but it realy is ugly.

As for a carb, if you want a little more get yourself a ADA aluminum intake and a 813 carb.

I think you might find htat red spring to be a little uncontrollable, the engagement is so high it makes it hard to putt around, but might suit your drining style, it is not for me though. I am running a DDM 7500 spring.

oh dude. thats an awsome kit. i don't like to go any higher then that couse you tend to lose top end. more displacement equals less rpm. but re-gearing is simple. you mentioned dog bones. like clubin said, keepim till they go. but keep in mind with the torche the first thing thats going to be stressed is your drive gears. common problem with torche is your gear plate flexing and ripping up gears. as far as pipe goes, you might be satisfied with just the headkit and clutch spring. im a fan of a headkit and a "gutted can" myself.

great info guys thats exactly what i needed. ill be driving it in the woods, kinds tight with trees buts lots of steep hills to climb:D maybe i should look into a lower rpm clutch spring. how loud is gutted pipe?

I'm using an hpi spring but am getting the ddm one, I run a ddm in my fg and prefer it's slightly lower pick up...it's more durable too.

I'm running a ported 28.5 with a fg can at the mo and while it has lots of power it aint doing it for me...needs a pipe for sure to get the extra you're paying for in the the top end.

as clubin said the 813 is the carb to have and a sprint pipe...or you could get the jetpro/merrick tumour pipe that looks like this...eh clubin

My opinion is stay away from the 813 carb (hard to keep tuned) take the chock out of the stock carb and tap or glue the shaft hoes shut to prevent airleaks get the aluminum velocity stack from DDM or Rob that has the choke built into it. You will have great bottom end out of that motor with stock carb the choke mod will cure the hold up or bog it had.

I've had no problems tuning the 813 on my fg and I'm picking up another tomorrow for my rampage...I love the lag elimination off idle and starting without a choke is about 5 pulls.

Yeah it only needs two shots of chemotheropy a week instead of daily LOL
I prefer the merrick pipe to the tgn (you've been knocked of the top of the ugly tree clubin)I think the tgn looks similar to this:D

thats to much, u guys are funny! :D i don't really like the look of the big side pipe, im not sure what i want yet, i don't want the thing to sound like a raced out 250 i would like a a pipe thats not to loud and has good low to mid. if sprint77 has time, i would like to send it to him when i get it. any ideas on what pipes?

I suggest a RD Logics from a Baja if you want adequate performance but not to loud , I can mod the header to make it look right on the rampage.
