Hi,

anyone making custom length dogbones (or driveshafts) for these cars? I'm building a 4WD 1/4 car with 100cc twin 2-stroke and I would need 2 pcs of strong dogbones for my front wheel drive. Willing to pay the money of course for the work and material plus shipping.

Basic dogbone end dimensions like in Baja, FG and practically all equivalent models, thicker shaft, end pins rotated 90 degrees, pin to pin length (C-to-C) 295 mm.

PhatDad? Someone?

I could cut and lengthen a shorter one but that sucks. I need a strong one that is not likely to break up.

hmm

you might be better off making them ya self dude, even 1/6 dogbones designed for 23-30cc etc would prob get ripped apart with a 100cc engine dude (depending on gearing)

Should be easy enough for a welder with the right tools to make some :)

Hi JariV,
I thik that Baja's dimensions arent enought to 100cc use.
Maybe you need bigger balls, pins ....etc , that means ....all the pieces custom made.
Maybe I could help you. Think again about dimensions and strenght.

Yes, you are right. Actually the parts that I use now aren't even as big as Baja's but the dimensions are original Carson/Smartech/FG/Nutech. So somewhat anemic.

I cannot much beef up the drivetrain physically to be much bigger. But I have doubt that with careful material selection using close to stock dimensions the drivetrain will survive. After all, if nothing ever breaks then it is too heavy.

Vassili, I have read your threads in other forum. You have a good arsenal of machinery to make rc-parts? I have access to several CNC machines myself but some things are very difficult to make. I'd like to talk with you more privately.
