Hi! Got a 3.5 Earthquake that I´m having issues with. It starts ok, runs for a period, then it stops. It can run for a short or longer period of time. I haven´t had it running long enough to brake it in. Quite annoying! Some guy sold me a OS R5 plug, but that didn´t do anything but make it harder to start. The best plug has been the OS LC3. Or the no 6.

It seems to me that fuel-flow just suddenly stops. How can this be? Please anyone, help me with any suggestions.

take off the air filter, look down into where the fuel goes, and you should always have about a 1-2 mm opening so truck stays running even at full break. Screw to the right to open er up some.

Problem at part throttle too

The problem is present at part throttle too. So that can't be it:-(

Then lean / rich mixtures ... Nitro is tuff compared to gasoline engines... Theres no forgiving with the needles. Find the stock needle turns and start from there. Did you take the air filter off and look in there to see whats going on?

This is exactly the reason I gave up RC for so many years. Though I can fix its finicky motor, I'd rather not deal with it. Then by accident I found out about 5th scale and its wonderful gas engines and I"M BACK and lovin' it. If you ever left a weed eater in cold storage throughout the winter and fired that baby up at the start of summer and it fires up right away, I kept thinking "now, why can't anyone come up with an RC with a motor like this?"

DUH!...Hello, McFly! :)lol Then I described to a friend what I saw on the soccer field and he said "dude, those are 5th scales" and I went "what? fish scale? why the hell would anyone call an RC truck fish scale" and he goes

"I said fifth scale, dumbass...as in "5" to make story short, I'm a happy camper and back in the game and thanks to RedCat Racing for not having a line-up of overpriced toyz!! :)

I have an XT and Earthquake 3.5. Im repairing my XT alot more, because I'm playing with it ALOT more! :) Earthquake lasts about 2 tanks before your back down in basement, and waiting weeks to repair. What I have been finding running both, is that I get about 3 hours of good bashing with the xt, and about 15 minutes of same bashing with earthquake before repairs are needed.
