Haven't posted in awhile. As some of you already know I've had engine troubles With my king motor 5b clone. The original engine flooded and then crankcase cover broke and would not start. I purchased another engine and swaped them out. The new engine would run for a few minutes and die kept on over and over. Went thru all the checklist stuff and couldn't figure it out. Finally got fed up and put the original engine back on it after replacing the crankcase cover and started right up ran for a few minutes and died. Same thing over and over. I also have a rovan terminater that ran good for the breaking in period but started dieing after running for a few minutes also. So 3 different engines same problem.

So nobody has a clue? I figure it has to be a tuning thing and I'm doing it wrong. I don't want to believe all three engines are faulty.

well most likely it's a user error
heres some suggestions
check your spark plug wire, make sure its on tight on coil and your getting a decent spark, not a spark you think you see butu a spark you can see. check coil gap on the flywheel 0.030 or biz card thickness, check your kill switch button on the engine make sure its not sticking or has water or anything in or around it that would cause it to short out, check your carb settings get them back to factory settings or H-1/1/4 turns , L-1-3/8 turns, check you carb gaskets and insulator,
and last check the head make sure your not leaking fuel/oil around base of head and top of crankcase, also inspect for cracks or anything.

I don't believe it's possible to get it wrong with these engines.
Check the settings. Carb.
Check the servo settings. End Point Adjustment, etc.
Check the screws. Engine mounts, Diff carriers, etc.
Check the gear mesh - any alignment out.
Check the bearings where able - any of them stuffed causing a serious wobble?

As you have had the same problem with 3 different engines I would look at the fuel delivery. Check the fuel tank is breathing properly. Im not sure how it vents on yours but if the vent is blocked you will get a vacuum effect which will stop the flow of fuel to the carb.

i'd say cap vent too...funnily enough we had it happen to a losi 5ive yesterday...poked a hole thru the cap and good as new. every rc i own putting a vent nipple and tube on the gas cap is the first mod...i've also seen people encounter the issue and then start buggering with carb settings...leave them alone! carbs don't all of a sudden lose tune. 99% of the time it's a no venting cap or plugged clunk...seen a few of those in my time too

Make sure your fuel lines are the right way around.
Bottom of carb connects to the one in the bottom of your tank with the filter on it and the top one on the carb is the return line.

Thanks guys I will address the cap vent first and go from there. Fuel lines are correctly in place and no kinks. Carb is factory set and servo's are centered.
